Review the library board’s mission, goals and objectives and adjust these as required.

bulletInclude an opportunity for Board growth and development as a regular item of monthly Board agenda.
bulletSet up an ad hoc committee to review & report to Board.
bulletProvide ongoing feedback to volunteers, & Council highlighting the results of the ongoing process.

Objective #3

Evaluate our service delivery.

Actions

bulletIdentify a limited number of key indicators to monitor and evaluate service delivery. Key indicators might include number of visitors, circulation by type of material, Internet use, number and attendance at programs and special events, membership, volunteer hours, fund-raising
bulletImplement evaluation forms for all library programs.
bulletEstablish a method of capturing comments from patrons regarding library service & ask for feedback on web page.
bulletConduct needs assessment for non-users within 2 years & use results for future planning.

Objectives #4

Report regularly to Council and the community on the services provided, evaluation of these services and future plans for service improvement.

bulletProduce a year-end annual report.
bulletPost strategic plan & updates on web site and invite comments.
bulletHold annual open houses to report to public & receive feedback from users.
