Silver Birch®...the largest recreational reading program
in the country where children pick the winner!

The Silver Birch® Award is comprised of three separate lists of Fiction, Non-Fiction, and an Express list that is made up of both Fiction and Non-Fiction, geared to the more reluctant reader. The Silver Birch® program is meant for readers aged 8 to 12, from Grades 3-6, with the Express list focusing on the lower grade level and the Fiction and Non-Fiction focusing on the Grade 5 and 6 readers.

Each participant must read a minimum of five books from a category to become eligible to vote for their favourite book. 

 Registration is required and space is limited. Contact your local library for more information!

Teen Craft Program
Our next teen craft program will be in Ennismore on Tuesday February 21 3:30-4:30pm and Bridgenorth on Tuesday February 28 3:15-4:15pm.

Reading Buddies 

The Reading Buddies Program involves adult and teen volunteers reading and playing literacy based games one-on-one with a group of children in Grades 1 and 2 every week after school for one hour.  Children are referred by their Teachers to take part in the program.  Reading Buddies meet each Thursday from September to May at the Ennismore branch.
