Drop by the Bridgenorth Library during open hours, and enjoy two-dimensional artwork by different artists each month.

January Artist: Myria Rei Solas – All Things Winged
Artist Statement: "In these times of turbulence politically, environmentally, and economically I feel we really need hope, and faith to keep going and find new meaning and ways of living in the world. Angels are symbols of hope and resiliency, reminding us to believe in love, kindness, togetherness and in something bigger than our tiny selves.
The insects with wings signify my love of nature and beauty and the role it plays in uplifting my spirit. I find great delight in watching these beautiful beings fly freely through the air.
These two seemingly disparate creatures gave rise to the theme of wings. Wings being a broader symbol to me representing freedom, the ability to soar above the mundane and heaviness that being earthbound can sometimes have. Wings give flight to the creative, to the imagination, and to the connections to The Divine, beyond reality and within every living thing."
