Services

The Library provides access to computers that are equipped with Internet resources, programs & databases for informational and educational purposes.  All users of the Library's computer resources are expected to adhere to our Internet policies.

If you want to connect your own device, free open Wi-Fi is available at each location 24/7. Network name is Public Library. No password is required. 

Resources are available to assist you in your genealogical and historical research. We are also pleased to offer Ancestry Library Edition on the public computers available in our branches.

Selwyn Public Library offers interlibrary loan at all three locations.

Photocopy service is available at all three branches.  Copies are .20 cents per side.

Colour photocopying and printing: Available in the Makerspace only. Copies are .50 per side

Scanning to email service is available at all three branches. The cost is .20 cents per page

Fax service is available at all three library branches and is completed by staff.

Fax Fees

  • Local: $1.00 per page, $5.00 flat rate for 5-9 pages, .50 cents per page for 10+ pages
  • Long distance/US: $2.00 first page, $1.00 each additional page

We have a formal arrangement with the County of Haliburton Public Library, the Trent Lakes Public Library, the City of Kawartha Lakes Public Library, and the Peterborough Public Library. Your Selwyn Public Library card enables you to access physical resources (not eResources) at these libraries.
